About Me

Hello, my name is Jasmine Tsai and I'm a front-end Web Developer.

The reason I started coding websites is simple. I enjoy making websites beautiful. Due to this, I have strong CSS and HTML skills.

I have had 3+ years of experience in a growing university web services team.

Currently I am also working on learning about web accessibility, responsive images, jQuery and JavaScript.

I am currently attending Collin County Community College as a Computer Science Major. I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas at the end of 2017 with a Bachelor's in Arts and Technology.

About this Site

This website was coded by me in notepad++, with a few jquery plugins like the mobile menu and the gallery. The headers and footers were done with php includes.

The header image for the home page uses responsive image techniques found from alistapart. The image will change depending on screen size. This picture uses the HTML <picture> tag and is supported for older browsers through the polyfill known as picturefill. Even without picturefill, the responsive image is already set up to fail gracefully as a regular image.

The mobile menu is a Multi-Level Push Menu created by Mary Lou and found at codrops. The photo gallery is called fotorama and is found at fotorama.io.

This site uses fontawesome for icons and the background images came from subtlepatterns.
